The Cap't is one smart little dude. He knows how to sit up for a treat! Not many dogs can boast that. He loves people - he's been waiting for you to call. If you are ready to SAVE a Yorkie, the Cap't is patiently waiting for you to get around to calling.
He is vacationing near central Ohio, in Columbus, Ohio with his new best friend, Cindy. There doesn't seem to be a lot of dog lovers in Ohio. He's been asking - where are you?
This little dog has been waiting at the window, watching for you to pull up out front and call his name. Since he can't get on the Internet - you know how hard it is to type without thumbs - why don't you call him? He doesn't have a cell phone but his friend Cindy will answer your questions. Her number is below.
Like most Yorkies, Captain Jack's teeth needed attention. They are all done. He has only one good eye .. hence the name Captain Jack. Don't let that sway you from asking about him- he is the sweetest guy you could imagine. We don't know where he came from, he just showed up one day - matted and in need of a good grooming which has also been done.
Senior citizens - those ladies of a certain age - who need a man around the house for companionship - well here he is. Just what you ordered and he won't drink, gamble or cheat on you.
We are courtesy posting Captain for people in Ohio. If you are interested please call Cindy at 614-581-1903. Captain is an adult Yorkie with a great personality.. give him a chance to show you. Save A Yorkie! Give a dog a home. Feel good about something you can be proud of!

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND: 1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty. 3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, ask us for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, from a local newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable. 4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt. 5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in Long Island, or PA, or Maryland, etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.
WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE? Adoption donations generally range from $250-$450 depending on the health, age and size of the dog.
Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time being adopted.
Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, NY, DE, VA, CT area's, but will consider homes in nearby surrounding states. Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
