Quick! What is the one thing a doggie rescue needs more than anything else?
Money? WRONG!
What we all need more than anything, even money is a foster home.
A foster home is a temporary safe haven for a rescued dog.
It is the most crucial yet scarce ingredient in animal rescue!
The more available foster homes, the more pets we are able to rescue.
For the dogs in animal control facilities, a shortage of space means death!

If you cannot adopt one of our Yorkies but want to help in your
own way, there are so many ways that you can!!!

Here are some things you can do to help us even if you can't take a dog into your home:

TRANSPORT - We can always use help with transporting dogs, usually from a shelter to a foster home. If you think you would like to help with transport, please contact SAY Rescue with the areas you are able to transport to/from.

HOME VISITOR - If you belong to another rescue or work at a shelter, we can always use your help conducting home visits. If you are able to help with home visits, please email with the areas in which you are able to help.

CRAFTING - If you are experienced at sewing, knitting, painting, sculpting, jewelry making, crocheting or any other craft, please email Marilyn, at SAYMarilyn@gmail.com to volunteer your help!

OTHER! Could you set up a table at a local fair or in front of a pet store and spread the word about Yorkie Rescue in your area? Think you can help in another way?

FOSTER! We are ALWAYS looking for FOSTER homes.
Somewhere that a small scared dog can rest up after being in a shelter until it can go to its forever
home. Yes, it takes a special person to be able to take in a dog, especially an older dog, but the
alternative is that they have NO home to stay in. It is unthinkable to us to let a little Yorkie stay
in a shelter for a moment longer than necessary when there are good families who are waiting for
