Angeles is available for adoption. Angeles is Latin for "Angel" and this little guy certainly is one and a unique one at that! 6 years old and approximately 12lbs, he was surrendered to us when the family's living situation did not allow dogs. He came to the shelter in pretty bad shape...skinny, dirty, matted and required treatment for an eye and chronic ear infection. The ear infection left one ear slightly shorter but this only adds to his charm and uniqueness. After some TLC and a good grooming, he's a different boy who knows his life is much better now. Long and lanky, he's a "tall" Yorkie with the most beautiful color combination of cream and silver with touches of honey. And his face...well, there's no denying that he's super cute!
Angeles gets along very well with other dogs and loves his daily walks with his Foster brother and sister. He has a personality that is sweet, very shy and sometimes timid and never aggressive. While he used to cower when approached, he now has more confidence and does not hesitate to play or show you affection. Every day, we see more of his interesting traits come out...like doing handstands down the stairs! Yes, handstands - he doesn't go down the stairs on all fours but only twos. It's a sight to see but we did say he's a unique boy! Angeles wasn't fully housebroken when he came to us but we've been working on this and he's learning very quickly.
Clearly, this little angel didn't have the best life before so he definitely deserves one now. He would do best in a quiet home with no children, and a retired or work-from-home pet parent(s) who is patient and willing to work with him on house training, building up his confidence, and most importantly, spoiling him with love and attention!

It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
