Little Dusty came in as a stray (yeah -right - someone dumped him at a shelter after ignoring him for years). He is an adult Yorkie with a real-Honest-to-God tail! Very unique! He was starved almost to death - bones showing under his matted hair. His teeth rotted and loose. How he could be a stray is hard to believe but he is not neutered and THAT is why he may have wandered from home. Did you know that 9 out of 10 dogs hit by cars are unneutered males? Yes - it is a death sentence and yet people don't neuter their dogs. Why don't vets insist on it? Because Dusty is fighting infections, he is not even interested in food. He hasn't been playing much or going for walks - he is so weak from lack of good food and medicine - he almost died. Being on the verge of starvation does not make a dog want to play with toys. But he has a good foster mama who is temping him with treats and delicious food. He will soon to be a good dog - neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He was just groomed and is beautiful. Dusty will be ready to go very soon. He is vacationing in Bristol, PA with his foster mom and a bevy of beautiful girl Yorkies - gets a long fine with them just fine - no aggression in this dog. For a nice quiet dog, good for a lap sitter loving person - Dusty is for YOU!
