Sammy is housebroken. She has not had an accident in the house. She will come to her foster mom, stare and turn in circles - this is her sign that she needs to go out and potty. Sammy is a very cute girl - big brown eyes. She has started to show us her "true" side. She attacks plastic grocery bags. She likes to chew on sneakers. She is people protective. She always wants to be around us. She doesn't find her own space - she likes to be on someone's lap. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom (and their 4 other dogs). When she is put onto the bed, she runs around and barks at everyone and the dogs. Then she moves around the blankets until she finds our legs and then she'll lick our leg for 10-15 minutes. Then she's quiet, finds a comfortable spot and goes to sleep. But she is so cute that her "odd" behavior just makes her all the cuter. She eats Iams dog food. We just love having her. She's gonna be a hard one to give up. She will make someone a great pet - and provide alot of humor too. More about SammyGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.
