This is a COURTESY POST!!!!!! Rory is with another rescue. You FIRST step is to put in an application right here!

Rory is a beautiful 3.5 year old, 5 lb. Yorkie girl that found herself without a home when her owners decided that they no longer had time for her and left her at a shelter. The shelter contacted rescue because Rory was so terrified (understandably after losing the only home that she had ever known) that they felt rescue might be able to help her by putting her in a home environment while they helped her find the perfect forever home. Rory has spent several weeks in her current home and she has become less anxious, LOVES having toys thrown for her, leash walks and giving her mom and dad kisses every morning. Rory appears to be housebroken with the exception of the occasional accident if she becomes very anxious.

Rory's mom and dad in her current home love her very much, but Rory was raised as an only dog and it would be ideal for her to stay that way as she does exhibit some dominating behavior towards her furbrother who is the alpha in the household. She needs to be an only dog!

In Rory's prior home, she was sadly left alone for extended periods of time without attention or walks, so her mom feels that the best environment for her would be one where someone would be home most of the day as her anxiety seems to be rooted in an uncertainty of when (and if) someone is coming back for her. We have noticed that as she has gotten used to our household routine and knows that we will be coming back, that her anxiety when we do leave has lessened considerably. She does not require constant attention and is content to lay in her bed or just be near you and you will not find a happier dog to see you when you come walking through the door as she just has so much love to give! Rory is a wonderful dog and if you feel you are the loving home she has been looking for (and so deserves!), please fill out an application for her.

Please put in your application only if:

  1. You have dog experience.

  2. No other dogs.

  3. You are home a good deal - retired? different shifts? work from home? independently wealthy?

  4. You will commit to this dog and her care.  Thank you!!!
