Learn more about the Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie.
My grandmother used to rock us to sleep for our naps while she gently sang a song about dumplings. It always soothed us.. and we loved her tender dumplings. Now we have a little girl who had no name. She, like Punkin, came to us with nothing... not even a name. She made puppies for the puppymiller in Lancaster - and he let her freeze in winter and bake in summer, living in a tiny rabbit hutch with many other dogs. Some did not survive - they froze to death waiting to rescued. Dumplin is safe now. She slept on a sweet smelling bed last night instead of the filthy flea infested straw that the Amish farmer left to rot in the filth of her cage. Dumplin has had a bath and trim, she is scheduled to visit the vet for a thorough exam and vaccinations. Soon she will be recovering from her spay and ready to start a life with people who care. Dumplin is vacationing now in Ephrata, PA with Rhonda. Now is the time to get your application in before she is snatched up by someone else. If you have dreamed of a little Yorkie girl of your own, here she is.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
