Piccina is available for adoption. She is 7 years old and weighs 5 lbs. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Piccina (pronounced Pi-chee-nah, meaning-little girl) is her new name, as she starts her new journey in rescue! Our sweet little girl has been put through the wringer, with nowhere to call home. One family didn't want her any longer. The next family was never home. Her third owners landlord said no dogs. Her most recent family was not able to care for her. Is it any wonder that she is confused, very thin, and has an upset tummy?
Those days are gone. We have brought Piccina into rescue and are giving her a new lease on life. We will take our time to let her settle and heal. We will give her confidence by being consistent with her hygiene, grooming, food, exercise, play, and love. We will be here for her. Piccina needs to put on a little weight and she needs time to relearn that a family can mean love, trust, good times, and safe haven.
Piccina is really enjoying her walks, she likes sleeping in bed with foster mom and loves, loves loves to eat. She will have no problem putting on a little weight. This little girl will be a great companion to anyone that has the time to devote to her because she is either beside you all the time or on top of you. We are looking for a person or family who has the time to be a companion and is home most of the day and will not leave her for more than 2 hours a day because she does not like being left alone!!! They will have to know the Yorkshire terrier breed and be able to provide a healthy and safe lifestyle for this little girl.
Piccina is vacationing with Cynthia and her gang in Ambridge, PA.More about PiccinaGood with Dogs Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
