Twinkee

We are so happy that we easily made the decision to offer our family to Twinkee. Twink quickly decided that she would have all of us. She has been stealing our hearts since the day we picked her up at the airport. Foster fail they call it. We are overjoyed to be a member of this club. Thank you SAYR for asking us to foster sweet little Twink. She will forever have a loving home and everything else she will need. Please support Save a Yorkie Rescue-there are many more that need homes & medical care. Congratulations Twinkee!!!

Teddie

It’s Official! Teddie has been adopted! Teddie’s new name is now Theo. This goofy boy makes us laugh each day! He has made a great addition to our family. He and Charlie, our 3-year-old rescue, love to play chase and cuddle with each other. Our rescue kitty, Freeloader now allows Theo to come into her personal space, which is great because Theo does not understand the meaning of personal space. He is constantly climbing on us, throwing his head on our necks, legs, chest, pillow, anything to get up close and in your business! Theo recently had a dental treatment, and unfortunately due to previous neglect, lost 14 teeth and had 2 missing already. He has recovered well and is eating like a champ! He is very food motivated, which causes some challenges for our senior boy, Bo. Bo is not used to such a big, little brother getting to the treats first. (But we secretly give Bo Treats when Theo isn’t looking) We continue to work on training and commands and Theo continues to make progress. Theo is still learning to walk on a lead. Overall, Theo is settling in nicely. Every day he seems to be more comfortable with his surroundings. When Theo first arrived, he was constantly looking for a way to escape. His flight instincts are still strong, but we feel them waning a bit each day as he appears to be coming to terms with the fact that this is furever home. Theo is now our goof ball, who just needed some unconditional love and lots and lots of pets and cuddles. He loves being part of a pack. We have no doubt, he will continue to make us laugh daily as he continues to get acclimated to his new home, parents, brothers, and sister. He truly has brightened up our home with his blonde head and underbite smile! Thank you SAYR for bringing this bundle of joy to us. Congratulations Teddie!!!

Tot

Tot, who we decided finally to name Louie, I am happy to say is my foster fail. I love them all, but I think we have found our perfect match. Since day 2 he's been following me around like my shadow. He is such a happy little boy. He is happy to be with other adults as well as children. His temperament is always sweet, even when his new brother gives him a little growl to show who was here first! Louie's favorite thing to do is go on walks. He sees the leash and goes nuts! Have to work on him keeping up with me and not dragging me along. He is smart, and knows to do his business outside...giving him treats when he comes in is working. I feel that him and my Kobe will be kind to any other fosters we bring in. Love being part of such a great organization that brings joy to so many people, now us included!

Tiny Dancer

Tiny Dancer came to us as a foster on Thursday May 21, 2020. We picked her up at Brainard Airport Hartford, after she had been flown from Lancaster PA by Pilots for Paws volunteer sky pilot Robert Laskin. Tiny had weighed in at 4.5lbs when she was found on a street by the Lancaster ASPCA shelter on May 9th 2020. Three weeks later, after receiving attention, love and nutritious meals, Tiny weighed 5.8lbs at her first CT Vet visit on May 30, 2020. She and step-brother Willy shared us and our home for seven weeks, when Willy was adopted by his forever family in mid-July. Since then Tiny has been the House Princess. She loves to be hugged, and eat her favorite meals and snacks. Tiny is also a good sleeper. Tiny is catching on to her Bully chewie stick, and is a very tight shadow for Lynn much of the time. Tiny is a very affectionate puppy and loves to have neck and back rubs. Her couch time has been curtailed since August 19th when she had her spay procedure, from which she is recovering nicely. Following a few more recovery days, Tiny will be comfortable with us again picking her up and back on her favorite couch. This little girl has come a long way since May 9th! Congratulations Tiny Dancer!!!

Toebee

Tobee was adopted on August 2. Pat came from the Rochester NY area with her daughter and son-in-law to meet him. Pat lost her beloved Felix not long ago and she was looking for a new love on which to devote her time and attention. Tobee is an incredible boy who is sweet, loving and well mannered. He was surrendered because his owner could no longer spend the time he so much deserves. Pat and Tobee are now spending their days together walking the property, playing with toys, and snuggling on the couch in the evening. I know Pat will give him all the love, time and attention he wants and deserves. Congratulations Tobee!
