Zoya

Zoya had a few bumpy days after her arrival. She came to SAY with a history of pancreatitis. I am sure the stress of flying across the country (I know I get stressed every time I fly) being stuffed under a seat in a carrier (I usually pay for a seat for myself) and then handed off to a stranger was more than enough to trigger an attack. So twice we went to the vet on an emergency basis. With sub q fluids, meds and small low fat meals after a few days things thankfully settled down. After that Zoya fit in so well with my pups that I was constantly asking her “Were you ever not here?” She was just part of the pack. She fit in seamlessly. Bet you can guess where this is leading. If you are thinking this is beginning to sound like a classic foster fail, Bingo!! You are correct. I have adopted Zoya and she will never be without her family again. Congratulations Zoya!!!

Zoee

We're excited to announce that Zoee has been adopted. She was our first foster and it was a failure. We knew within a few weeks that we became attached to her just as much as she became attached to us. After 6 months of fostering we just couldn’t let her go. This poor girl has been through a lot in this short time. We have been to more vet appointments then I can count, and she has been on more medications then I can remember. She has had major surgery, minor surgery and dental surgery. Through all of this she has been such a sweet and silly dog. Her favorite things include playing with squeaky toys, wrestling with her fur brother, running around in the yard, and going for walks or car rides. She is already spoiled, and she is going to live her best life here with her fur siblings. Congratulations Zoee!!!

Zowey

Zowey was my first foster and I didn’t know what to expect. I certainly didn’t think that I would fall in love so fast. She is older and well behaved. She wasn’t supposed to get along with other dogs and I was concerned about my dog Trey . They slowly got to adjust to each other and now are best of friends. Zowey was a little timid at first but she quickly decided that she liked living in the country with me and Trey. She stole my heart right away and I am so happy that I adopted her. Congratulations Zowey!!!

Ziva

Today Ziva went home with her forever family, Tyler and Fernanda. What a great match for Ziva. She will have a big home with a nice yard to play in. Ziva will be the only animal in their home. We where all so happy especially Tyler who was celebrating his birthday today. When Fernanda looked at Ziva’s paperwork she realized that Ziva and Fernanda share the same birthday. I’m expecting some birthday party pictures from them in May. Thank you very much SAYR for the work you do and for the opportunity to be a foster Mom. Congratulations Ziva!!!

Zoe de Doe

It was a happy day for Zoe as she met her forever family. She immediately gave Joyce kisses as she took her into her arms to say hello. She sat on Joyce's lap and snuggled comfortably as we talked about all that they would need to know about this precious little girl. She rubbed her head on Eric's leg-another sign of her affection for them. Joyce texted us the day after Zoe left to let us know that she is settling into her forever home and finding her favorite spots. We knew our sweet, petite Zoe would be a treat for some lucky family! Thank you Joyce and Eric for being that family. Congratulations Zoe de Doe, you are a very lucky girl!!!
