Griffin

Griffin came to me with a resiliency that is nothing short of amazing. Though he didn’t have much of an appetite for food those first couple weeks, he had a voracious appetite for love and affection. A few days into our foster, he joined me for my annual family beach vacation with 14 family members under one roof for a week. Griffin saw it as nothing more than 28 new hands to pet him and 14 laps to cuddle upon. By the end of the week, not only was I in love, but 13 others were, too. They would have clobbered me if I even considered giving him away. He was home! He walks me around the Marine Corps Memorial every week day morning and all over Rehoboth every weekend. This little guy loves a road trip! He’s a big hit at outdoor Saturday morning yoga and makes everyone smile when he imitates my downward dog. Yappy hour is another one of Griffin’s favorite activities- you can find him making friends and enjoying doggie “ice cream” treats all over Arlington and Alexandria. We’re working on socialization with other dogs by attending at least one small dog meetup a week. So far he’s not too interested in the 4 legged attendees, but loves their people! He’s territorial about his yard and driveway. He’ll bark up a storm if another dog tries to come toward his castle. Even the biggest dogs cower when they hear that fierce roar - I don’t think either of them know he’s only 6 pounds. My Little Man is six pounds of loyalty, adoration & affection! Every single day is better with Grifferoni! We’re in a mission to make up for the 6.5 year we didn’t have each other. And, I think we’re off to a pretty good start. Congratulations Griffin!!!

Gustin

Craig and Mac came to the house with their dog Cinnamon July 18th for a meet and greet. After a few oooohh’s, aaahhh’s by the Brands’ and an exchange of sniffs by Cinny and Gus; Gus walked over to Mac and let her pet him. He gave her fingers a little lick. Cinnamon was over the top with excitement. We took a short walk around the block and I turned the lead over to Mac. My symbolic letting go. Gus walked like a gentleman while Cinny sniffed everything in site. He was glad to be out of the car. Gus was just enjoying walk. I think he knew this would be the new norm. Congratulations Gustin!!!

Gimmie Timmy

He's gone, off to be spoiled in his new home with his wonderful new mommy. She was beyond excited to get him and I just love her to pieces. She came prepared with treats and everything. They will be great together. I managed to keep the tears at a minimum. I also gave her an outline of what Timmy's day was like with me, his feeding times, walks, play time, etc. Congratulations Gimmie Timmy!

Gobi

Adoptions are positive joyful experiences for the new family and the dog. However; there is now a empty spot at the fosters home . We are so happy for Gobi and we will stop looking for him soon while we are waiting for the next needy Yorkie. Congratulations Gobi, you are a very lucky boy!!!

GG

Gigi is doing so well, and she really knows her way around. She loves to play and go outside on her leash. Really a happy little girl💗 Congratulations GG, you are a very lucky girl!!!
