Merlin is available for adoption. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the sweetest little guy, Merlin! This loving little Parti-Yorkie mix may have had a rough start, coming from a difficult hoarding situation, but it only added to his character. Merlin absolutely loves being around other dogs, though cats aren't really his thing. He has the perfect little build and an even more perfect personality. Merlin is a true lap dog who adores being close to his human caregivers. He's also a fast learner. Having not spent the beginning of his life walking on a leash, he has made great strides over the past week and happily runs to the door at the mention of a walk. He's a very smart boy and quickly picks up new activities. Unfortunately, he did have some sores on his belly from wearing belly bands all day, but they are quickly healing with proper care. Due to his past, he's learning how to potty outside and is doing a great job, with no accidents in the house so far. He's great with other dogs and children, too, enjoying playtime and lots of attention. Happy and lovable are the two best words to describe this guy, who is truly living his puppyhood to the fullest! Merlin’s bark has yet to be heard which is unique given that yorkies can be little yappers. This is testament to his sweet and loving nature. Anyone lucky enough to adopt him will fall in love with Merlin within hours. Merlin will be ready for his forever home in mid-September at the earliest, after he is neutered and his vaccinations are brought up to date. Merlin is staying with Susan in Camillus, NY.
