Gentleman George

On Sunday, January 14,2024, Georgie had his Meet and Greet . God put Victoria and Michael in my life so George would have the PERFECT HOME, bUT, he also knew we would all become best friends! We have a Havanese named Sadie, and so do they. How perfect ! Georgie brought Sadie all his toys and Sadie had lots of toys with her too! They ran, played and sniffed. Of course, Victoria, the perfect pup mom she is, brought lunch! Quiche, salad, and I had blueberry banana bread! It was a perfect day, full of PLAYING, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, AND TEARS!!! TOO MANY TEARS!!!! George was with us almost 4 months! My love for him will always be there. And to remember his love, they gave me a special bracelet that has in Morriscode-thanks for loving him Gratitude! George is adapting well, misses us, has my shirt I wore for a month, that I gave him, in his crate. We can visit him anytime, and we all are planning to see each other regularly. George will have a PERFECT, LOVING LIFE, now, just like I gave him as his foster mom. My heart is breaking missing him but he is so LOVED, and always will be with Michael and Victoria! You're in my daily prayers Georgie!

Ginger Snap

On Saturday, Ginger left to live with her new family. The last week is always bittersweet for me. Of course, there’s the emotional component of it. It seems that I battle all week with the collision of so many emotions – pride, sadness, excitement, and happiness but, there’s also the overwhelming feeling of being responsible for someone else’s pet. Logically, I realize that is what I have been doing all along but until the last week, Ginger was another member of our family. She blended in with us and adapted to our schedule. We never thought of her as a foster dog; she was just another member of our family! John and I would often include her when we addressed “the boys” and then would stammer and add “and Girl!” So, as we enjoy the week of “lasts”, Ginger’s new family is excitedly preparing for the “firsts”. They are a lovely couple with experience with Yorkies but they don’t currently have any other pets. Ginger will be doted on! She’ll have a big backyard and an open lap for snuggling which is everything Ginger wants! Our week of lasts has officially ended as Ginger went home with her new family today. When they arrived Ginger smothered them with kisses but when the time came to leave, Ginger hesitated a bit but then went off with her new family without so much as a backwards glance! Congratulations Ginger Snap!!!

Geno

One lucky little dog with many names has found his Forever home. His new name is Foster Doyle and all parties are so happy. It was amazing how quickly he went right to Mr Doyle. I think we have a new bonded pair. It was my pleasure to be a part of this match. Congratulations Geno!

Gabbie

Gabbie came into rescue with her sister when their owner suddenly passed away. Due to age and health issues, they became forever fosters and came to live with myself and my son. They were a bonded pair. Her sister, Gracie, was 2 years older and passed a year ago. Gabbie will be 16 this month. She is a happy girl with a spunky personality. We love her dearly. Although she is having spinal-neurological health problems, her heart and bloodwork are excellent. It became clear to us that we just had to be her real family. So we have failed at fostering once again, just in time for Gabbie's birthday! Happy Birthday, Gabbie! Congratulations Gabbie!!!

Gismo

Gismo started out with us, Julia and Chuck Sleeper, on March 16 as a foster. He was a timid little fellow at first but after a few days started patting legs for a lift up to sit in a lap. It took a couple of weeks for his real "dog" personality (sweet from the top of his head to the ends of his paws) to come out. However, by the first week of May he started barking at the neighbors and was never late for a treat opportunity, breakfast or dinner. He is the same age as our dog Frodo, so their daily tempo and activity level are a good match. Gismo is an expert nap taker, lap sitter and general snuggle pup. Our daughter was totally enamored with him from day one and in just 2 months has a library of cute photos. Our son thinks Gismo is great too. So, there it is, we've joined the ranks of the Foster Failure Brigade and are glad to be in such good company! Gismo will be with us FUREVER!!!!! Congratulations Gismo!!!
