Fuz E is available for adoption.

He is 5 years old and weighs 13 pounds.

His adoption fee is $350.

Fuz E is a beautiful blond boy who is just five years old and acts like a puppy!  No he is NOT a blonde Schnauzer!  The groomer gave him a face like a Schnauzer's but he is a wonderful Yorkie boy.

Full of boundless energy, he loves the outdoors.  His leash training is going well with the aid of a clicker and treats.   All he wants to do is walk, walk, walk (well mostly walk, he's learning not to pull).

He's a loveable goofus who jumps up onto your lap for affection and turns on his back so you can rub his belly. He's a snuggler for sure and loves being by you or following you all around.  He races through the house, up the stairs and back down again, looking for fun. This little guy loves affection and will crave it from you.  He has learned to do:  sit, off, come and almost stay, lol.  That's his problem, he cannot sit still. The only toy he loves is his ball, which he will bring to you and then run away with it wanting you to chase him.

He has not pottied in the house at all!  He is crate trained for bedtime and now sleeps through the night.   He will alert you with a whine and some barking if he has to go out.     Fuz E does not mind cats, he totally ignores our Lizzy and has no interest in her.  He loves his treats and will nudge your pocket to get to them.  He sits up longer than any dog I have had, so cute, and he will dance for a treat. He is a great watch dog and not fearful of strangers, although he will initially bark.  We have had visitors and once introduced, he is a new friend and will welcome your visitor. He shows no aggression whatsoever, food, play or any other negative behavior.

Fuz E will need obedience training for sure as he needs to learn some manners, and he will need someone with patience as he learns.  And definitely a fenced yard as he loves to run and play.  We love him dearly and he is a really big baby....so full of life and fun!

He is vacationing with Sue and her gang in Harrington, DE.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.

Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
