Jaxx

Thursday was a very very special day for both Jaxx and Bob. It was gotcha day for Jaxx. As soon as Bob arrived Jaxx was all over him. We took care of the paperwork and questions and Bob took Jaxx for a walk while I packed up all of Jaxx's treasures. We visited for a bit more and my eyes were giving away what my heart was feeling so it was time for them to go. I got 5 pictures and a text and they were only gone an hour or so. I believe it was a match made in heaven and Save a Yorkie Rescue, Inc.

Joe

He is on his way to an amazing life. Not only does he have an amazing new dad, but he gets to go to work with him every day! New dad is a surgical resident at Blue Pearl hospital where Joe had his surgical consult. When new dad examined Joe during his surgical consultation, it was love at first sight. Actually, the entire staff fell in love with Joe during his consultation. After we left the consult, new dad went straight to our website and put in an application. Once approved, it was just a matter of when he would be able to come for the official Meet and Greet. We chose Saturday morning at 8 am. He was prompt and we completed all the necessary paperwork before they were off on their new adventure. Joe is going to be spoiled beyond belief but in the best way possible. Dad had already purchased a matching polo shirt for his first day at the office. I couldn’t have picked a better match for Joe! Godspeed Joe! You are such a lucky little guy! I am glad I was able to get to know you! Congratulations Joe!!!

Jaze

Pam and Jaze, I adopted Jaze a year ago. He's been an absolute love! I got a letter wanting a picture of us but I wasn't sure how to post it. Congratulations Jaze!!!

JackOLantern

Sweet little Jackson (aka Jack O'Lantern) was adopted on Saturday, 11/21 by Connie & Bob and their daughter, Fiona (19). Jackson went through quite a transformation in the 4 1/2 weeks that he was with me. Going from a sheltered, indoor, slightly overweight, out of shape guy, to living like a real dog: going on walks, being outside in a yard, exploring new sights and smells, playing with squeaky toys, and meeting new people (who he happily greeted! Every single one.) And he lost a pound! He really is a special little dog. So sweet and friendly and easy-going. (Even the vet that did his dental wanted him!) I am so happy for Jackson and for his new forever family. They only live a couple of towns away from me, so I know I will see him again. Congratulations JackOLantern!!!

Joe Joe

Joe Joe (now known as Calvin/Cal) was officially adopted on July 17 by the Gaeta family. Although dad, brother and new fur-baby sister, Chloe, were unable to be part of the pickup, we had all gotten together a week earlier for the meet and greet. And once the Gaetas returned from vacation, Karen and daughter Hailey (who was the driving force finding Save A Yorkie) arrived to bring Joe Joe home. It wasn’t long before it became apparent that Hailey was Joe Joe’s favorite snugglee in the room, and we knew this was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Papers were signed, routines discussed, belongings were given and it was time for the always bittersweet goodbyes. The next day, Karen sent a picture of Joe Joe with Chloe snoozing together on the couch and let us know that Joe Joe had had a good night sleeping with Hailey in her room. It’s good to know that happy endings can still occur during these crazy times. Congratulations Joe Joe!!!
