Ryder

I am ready to open up my home to this sweet little boy after losing my sweet Truman, also a Yorkie, and it is like it was meant to be that everything fell into place perfectly to move forward with this adoption. Reading Ryder story and seeing his adorable photos made me fall for him immediately. Grateful to the rescue and all the people in it, in particular, for bringing this little love bug into my life. Whether it is cuddling on the couch or working on his endless supply of bully sticks, I look forward to that and more as my boy gets comfortable in his new home. Congratulations Ryder!!!

Rosie

What is it about this little girl? Is it her skip-hop walk? Is it that she jumps in the car as soon as you open the door? Is it that she literally smiles? I don’t know but on Sunday, when we were taking our evening walk, I turned to my husband and said, “I think she’s the one.” To be fair, I have said that about every single foster dog (except for one but that’s a story for another day!) but my husband has always been more rational an vetoed me every time …… except this time. With the words of agreement barely out of my husband’s mouth, I texted Bonnie to ask if we could adopt Rosie. It is possible that Rosie overheard and understood that this was a done deal because her attitude has shifted from a guest in our house to queen of the castle. She no longer settles into whichever bed is available, she selects the biggest, softest one – which is usually ours! Before sitting on the leather sofa, she demands that we put a blanket down, so she doesn’t have to sit on the cold surface. But she lets me put her in frilly dresses and she still jumps in our laps and covers us with kisses. She also gets along with Tucker, which is no small feat. We are so happy that Rosie is part of our family! We will be skip hopping together down the sidewalk! Congratulations Rosie!!!

Rilee

Rilee was adopted and went to his forever home in Connecticut with his new mom Gisele. She made the 8 hour trip to Pennsylvania with her sister and we met at a local park. Rilee liked them immediately as was eager to show them the way as they joined us on our walk. After a good walk we all went to our house where we enjoyed a nice evening getting to know each other and playing with Rilee. Gisele scored big points with Rilee right away as she came in with a new toy and got right down on the floor and started playing with him. As the evening progressed, we heard stories of the previous yorkies she has had and several dogs that family members now have that Rilee will be able to visit and play with. Gisele and her sister spent the night in a local hotel and came back Sunday morning to get Rilee After a few snuggles and a teary goodbye from foster mom and dad, Rilee was off on his new adventure to his forever home where he will be greeted by his new sister, Loki, the cat. Rilee was a pleasure to have and provided lots of fun, love and laughter! We wish him all the best in his forever home with mom Gisele and sister Loki. Congratulations Rilee!!!

Rambow

Rambow got adopted by a wonderful family on Saturday. We will miss him very much, but I know he will be happy and well taken care of! Congratulations Rambow!!!

Roxi

December 1st was adoption day. Meet her new parents, Ashley and her fiancé Marc. I could tell (even through the masks) they fell in love with Roxi the moment they finally met. We went into the den where they could spend time with Roxi and of course go over all the paperwork. Well Roxi took to them right away. She gave each of them kisses when they picked her up and of course had a blast playing fetch. Roxi tried to bring it back to me once but I think that was out of habit. Otherwise she brought that toy back to Ashley and Marc every time. They spent over 30 minutes playing and were super patient when Roxi wanted to play tug of war rather than letting them have the ball. After we went over the paperwork, and I tried to tell them all that Roxi still needed to learn that they hadn’t already witnessed, they handed over the check and were ready to go. Roxi trotted right out the door, happy as can be. As you can see from the picture all 3 are super happy. Roxi is one lucky girl to have found this great family. Congratulations Roxi!!!
